HI Membership
Only HI or AIG members can access AIG Hostels.
Your HI membership card opens the door to the world’s largest network of safe, clean, welcoming hostels (hihostels.com).
Membership also gives you access to thousand of travel-related savings at home and abroad: reduced-price admission to attractions and museums, discount or meals, transportation and more.
In your country, you can purchase a membership from Hi Youth Hostel Association office or membership selling outlet before starting your journey.
Alernatively, you can purchase an International membership when you arrive at an HI hostel outside your country of residence.

Welcome stamps, per night € 3,00
(up to a maximum of € 18,00)

AIG rules abstract
In Italian Youth Hostels only the following people are admitted:
- AIG members (holders of individual, leader and family cards)
- members of all other HI member Associations
- members with HI Card (issued to anyone joining the Association in a foreign country)
AIG members can not be accepted in the Hostels of the municipality where they leave.
People lacking in sobriety and cleanliness are not admitted.
Failing a booking, the length of the stay in Hostel is limited to 3 days; a further stay is possible only after 15 days.
All Hostel services should be paid in advance.
In the Hostel is strictly forbidden:
To make political or confessional propaganda
To drink alcoholic beverages (except wine and beer at meals)
Smoking (only outside in the garden)
To use personal sheets or sleeping bags
To use cookers personal heaters .
To keep food in the rooms
To bring pets
Members are requested to do the following:
On arrival: hand in membership card that will be kept until departure, together with an identity document that will be kept just for registration
During stay: observe local rules and Hostel hours.
On departure: tidy bed up, give Hostel sheets back to the Warden, take payment receipt remembering to take also the membership card
Every member is responsible for the good name of his/her own national association and for the whole Youth Hostel organization in the world: he/she has to observe the rules of civil life as well as the particular regulations of single Hostels.
